This trip combines some visits to a wide variety of ethnic minority groups generally retaining their lifestyle, traditional costume with high mountains, deep ravines and terraced fields of Vietnam will excite your spirit of adventure. In this tour, you also visit and stay with Dzay and H’mong family for learn about their daily life.
Night 1: The Hanoi Meracus Hotel staff escorts you to the railway station for boarding on a 4 – AC – soft sleeper – cabin to travel up Lao Cai town.
Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat & Sin Chai villages (B, L, D)
Arrives Lao Cai in the early morning, our driver or tour guide with the placard of your name will welcome you. You will be driven to Sapa in about 1 hour. Once you arrive, a morning shower will be offered and breakfast is served after.
The new day will be started at 9:00 by a visit to Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages down in Muong Hoa valley. Enjoy the spectacular views of the beautiful valley towards Fansipan – highest peak in Vietnam and Indochina. Trek through the villages of Black H’mong ethnic minority to learn the way people weaving and embroidering their clothes, keep going down to enjoy amazing sceneries of paddy fields and interesting waterfall. Trek back to Sapa. In the afternoon, you have free time to discover Sapa town and market.
Night 2: Overnight at hotel in town
Day 2: Sapa – Lao Chai & Ta Van villages – Homestay (B/L/D)
Enjoy the breakfast then check out. Start trekking from Sapa by 9:00 towards Muong Hoa valley where you can admire the magnificent landscapes. Downhill trekking to visit Lao Chai and Ta Van villages, the home of Black H’mong and Dzay people. Then enjoy a picnic lunch. Once arriving Dzay’s house, refresh by a local tea break and explore the culture, custom and religion by chatting with the villagers.
Later on, attend a cooking course for dinner. Enjoy what you have made and stay overnight.
Night 3: Overnight at a local Dzay’s house.
Day 3: Tavan – Giang Ta Chai – Sapa – Lao Cai station (B, L)
Wake up with the locals in the sound of pigs, chickens and the family dogs. The family is already on their feet preparing your breakfast. After breakfast, say good bye to the family and trek through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai where the Red Dzao are living. Talk to the inhabitants to get to know more about their daily life, customs and traditions. Pass over the Cau May Bridge then around 12:00 get back to Sapa Town. Free time for shopping or discovering the town (Dragon mount, Orchid garden…)
Leave the town for Lao Cai railway station at around 16:30 pm. Then boarding a night train back to Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi
The train arrives Hanoi in the early morning, Hanoi Meracus Hotel staff will pick you up, and escort you back to the hotel. Tour ends.
